JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – With the first day of school fast approaching, it’s time to get school supplies for your children.
As summer winds down, stores can be packed to the gills.
Jonesboro Economical Transportation (JET) aims to make it easier for you to shop.
“It’s hard to even get a parking spot, so I thought, why not make things simple. Catch the JET bus, jump on, get what you need. Jump back on and get home again. Make things easy, simple, affordable, easy,” said Shelly Anderson, Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator for JET.
However, there are only certain stops where they will bring you.
“Any retail shopping establishment in the city of Jonesboro, we will be happy to drop you at our closest JET bus stop,” Anderson added.
Jonesboro Transit Director Lee Wells emphasized their commitment to the community.
“There are so many things that we do here in the city that are community-driven. And with us here at transportation, we’re just happy to be able to help out and provide that for the community,” Wells said.
Buses run from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
