Sagittarius Season Teaches Us to Embrace Chaos. What to Expect Based on Your Sign

Must read

Every Sagittarius possesses a special kind of chaos magic. In the great roleplaying game of life, Sagittarians are supremely uninterested in the main plot. Their entire lives are spent in a series of impulsive side quests. You might think Sag’s perpetual pursuit of seemingly trivial loot and lore over more traditional priorities would imply that they are an unserious people. Wrong! When a dragon needs to be defeated, the eclectic arsenal of skills and knowledge Sag has gathered over the course of their daily wanderings helps them succeed at slaying seemingly insurmountable problems.

Sagittarians are perfectly suited to thrive in dystopian settings. Don’t get me wrong: Sags certainly care about systems of oppression. They do not abide injustice! But Sag tends to respond to these threats in unusual ways. Sagittarius doesn’t hold any respect for authority in the first place, so it’s difficult for would-be tyrants to intimidate them. And Sag’s power of distractibility makes it impossible for a fearmonger to take up residence in their minds. They are much too busy geeking out over hyperspecific interests to be afraid of some asshole who wants to control them. It’s impossible to control a Sagittarius, actually; it simply cannot be done. Sag will make quick work of any interloper whose irritating presence intrudes upon their enjoyment of their off-the-wall hobbies.

Sagittarius is an indomitable personality. There is no way to cow or subdue them. If a wannabe despot forces the issue, Sag will always have the last laugh.

The new season’s forecast is frightening, and we should all take a cue from Sagittarius on how to respond. When we cherish small joys more than we fear large threats, we’re capable of handling anything.

What the stars are up to:

  • The Sun and Mercury are in your sign.
  • The Sun forms sextiles with Pluto and Lilith; creates trines with the North Node, Mars, and Chiron; squares off against Saturn and Neptune; passes through conjunction with Mercury, and opposes Jupiter.
  • In the last week of November, Mercury turns retrograde. Mercury creates a trine with Chiron, forms sextiles with Lilith and Venus, opposes Jupiter, and squares off against Saturn.
  • In mid-December, Mercury turns direct!
  • Your sign ruler Jupiter is retrograde in Gemini. Jupiter creates a trine with Lilith.
  • The New Moon in your sign forms a sextile with Pluto, creates a trine with Mars, passes through conjunction with the Sun and Mercury, squares off against Saturn and Neptune, and opposes Jupiter.

What it means:

It’s a good thing you’ve got a natural shield of good luck! You’re still far away from your happy, helpful sign ruler Jupiter, which is across the map ambling around retrograde in your sibling sign Gemini. In your own sign, you host an entire run of dreaded Mercury retrograde from 11/25 to 12/15. Mercury crashes backwards across your sign to promote healing, but also to encourage temptation to indulge in your dark side, urge you to ignore opportunity for expansion and actively fight with the concept of responsibility, then finally compel you to recklessly flirt with desire before Mercury returns to direct orbit and ends its reign of disaster. The Sun and New Moon support every bit of Mercury’s bullshit throughout the season, tossing in a powerful boost of energy and an allergy to intuition. Yikes! At the dawn of December, Jupiter jumps in on the action when it conspires with shadow ruler Lilith to amplify your dark side. Thanks to Lilith’s affinity for selfishness, you’ll most likely behave like a boundary-enforcing icon or an absolute nightmare, probably a confusing mix of both.
