FREDONIA — R.J. Koopman scored from Sam Pietro 32 seconds into a second 10-minute overtime as Fredonia edged Dunkirk 1-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association West Division boys soccer action at SUNY Fredonia on Monday evening.

“It was a well-played rivalry game,” Fredonia coach Jim Rush said. “Both teams had opportunities to score and both keepers came up big throughout the game. Sam made a nice pass and R.J. finished with the goal in the second overtime.”

Andrew Cowan made six saves in net to earn the clean sheet for the Hillbillies (2-1-1, 2-0-0).

Greg Orcutt Jr. made 10 saves in net for the Marauders (1-3-1, 0-2-0).

OSTE, CULVER STAND OUT

ELLERY — Drew Oste and Arley Culver had two goals and two assists apiece to lead Maple Grove past Chautauqua Lake 5-0 in the Central Division.

Ty Kraft scored the other goal and Jack Reynolds had an assist for the Red Dragons (1-3-1, 1-0-1). Liam Colburn made six saves to earn the clean sheet.

The Eagles fell to 2-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the league.

SLADE NETS WINNER

RANDOLPH — Playing on its new turf surface at Raymond Van Wie Field for the first time, Randolph beat Ellicottville 1-0 in East Division play.

Cody Slade scored the lone goal off an Isaac Pihlblad rebound in the 86th minute to give the Cardinals (6-0-0, 2-0-0) the victory.

Delsin Tallchief made four saves as the Randolph defense pitched its fourth clean sheet in six games.

Jackson Kruszynski made eight saves for the Eagles (1-3-1, 1-1-0).

YOUNG POURS IN 4 GOALS

OLEAN — Connor Young scored four goals to power Southwestern past Olean 10-1 in the West Division.

Seth Vaughn and Young each had a pair of goals during a seven-goal first half for the Trojans (4-1-0, 2-0-0). Ryan Ohl, Nolan Lefler and Grey Kidder each added a goal in the opening 40 minutes.

After halftime, Young scored two more and Anthony Bellardo added his first of the season.

Lefler chipped in three assists, while Gavin Ternullo, Kidder and Vaughn each had one.

The Huskies fell to 1-3-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the league.

NORTH COLLINS TOPS BLACK KNIGHTS

NORTH COLLINS — Neven Sheehy and Scott Armbruster each scored a first-half goal from Maddox Miller and North Collins blanked Silver Creek/Forestville 3-0 in the Central Division.

Leon Lark scored from Mitchell Kehr in the second half for the Eagles (2-1-0, 1-1-0).

The Black Knights fell to 2-1-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league.

PORTVILLE EDGES GOLDEN COUGARS

FALCONER — Colin German had a goal and an assist as Portville beat Cassadaga Valley/Falconer 2-1 in East Division action at Bill Race Field.

Colin German scored from Brady German in the first half and Braedon Carter scored from Colin German in the second half for the Panthers (4-0-2, 2-0-0).

Connor Main scored the Golden Cougars’ lone goal from Gabe Lundmark. Nathan Bailey made 12 saves for Cassadaga Valley/Falconer (1-3-1, 0-2-0).

CHUDY NETS GOLDEN GOAL

CATTARAUGUS — Easton Chudy scored the game-winning goal in overtime as Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley beat Pine Valley/Gowanda 2-1 in the East Division.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Jacob Herrick pulled the Warwolves (1-3-0, 1-1-0) even with his second-half goal.
