EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Rise Dispensary East Syracuse celebrated its grand opening Friday as Central New York’s newest licensed cannabis dispensary.
Rise Dispensaries is a national retailer with 83 locations across 14 states. The chain looks to bring modern technology to the cannabis industry, offering electronic kiosks and online ordering to make cannabis more accessible.
“Today’s our first day, and, we’re just really excited to be able to provide more access throughout the state,” said Lincoln Campbell, the store’s commercial general manager.
Rise Dispensaries can also issue medical marijuana cards and provide free medical consultations.
“Our staff is very, very knowledgeable. We pride ourselves on product knowledge and education. One thing that separates us from other dispensaries is the fact that we do provide products for medical patients.”
All profits from Friday’s event went to We Rise Above the Streets Recovery Outreach, a Syracuse non-profit focused on breaking the cycle of homelessness and criminality.
Rise Dispensaries has donated more than $3.5 million to non-profits and organizations in the communities they operate in.
Rise Dispensary East Syracuse is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day at 6701 Manlius Center Rd.
