WESTFIELD- Richard “Rick” Clayton Raynor, 70, of Westfield, passed away at his home with family at his side, on Friday, August 9, 2024, following a hard fought cancer battle.

He was born March 4, 1954, in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Charles W. and Arlene Hillman Raynor.

He was a 1971 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School. He had owned and operated Raynor’s Construction Inc. and Raynor’s Hunting and Fishing Emporium, both in Westfield.

Rick had served his community as a past Village of Westfield Trustee and was a life member of the NRA, a past member of the Westfield Fish and Game Club, the Westfield Moose, the Westfield VFW Post 6764, the Westfield American Legion Post 327, the Vikings, a current member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF).

He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and also enjoyed boating, hunting, and fishing. His biggest love in life was his family and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Debra Ann Deuink Raynor, whom he married on April 22, 1972, his four children, Jeremy (Shelly) Raynor of Springville, NY, Lacie (Jeremy) Gross of Westfield, NY, Damian Raynor of Westfield, NY and Amber (Paul) Murray of Erie, PA, twelve grandchildren, Jordan, Sebastian, Jeremy (Airiana), Brittany (Casey), Thomas, Charles, Damian, Madisan (Pete), Carter (Brittany), Hunter (Kenny), Preston (Angel), Harry and eight great-grandchildren, Beretta, Lucca, Liam, Aria, Raya, Aydn, Paisley, Cason Clayton, one sister, Carol (Joe) Abbey, one brother, Bill Raynor, and two bother in-laws, Sgt Robert Deuink and Jeffrey Deuink.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Zachery Schwartz and step-grandson Zachery Gross, one brother, Max, and five sisters, Hazel, Edith, Edna, Shirley, and Norma and one brother-in-law, David Deuink.

The family will receive friends from noon to 3PM, on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S Erie St). The funeral will follow at 3PM.

The family would like to thank every individual who took time out of their lives to show their love and support during Rick’s battle.

Celebration of Life to follow immediately after Funeral at their Family Camp on 8605 Route 5, Westfield NY.

The Family requests all attendees to wear bright colors/Hawaiian clothes to the services as well as to the Celebration of Life per Rick’s request.
