MEQUON — Port Washington State Bank recently purchased the building in which its Mequon branch resides, located at 10509 N. Port Washington Road.

The purchase, which was between Concord Development and Port Washington State Bank, closed on May 1.

According to a PWSB press release, Port Washington State Bank has occupied the North end of the building since April 2019 when it opened its eighth branch in Ozaukee County. The branch currently holds $60 million in assets. The bank has no immediate plans to modify the building.

In addition to housing one of the bank’s branch locations, the 8,000 square-foot building is also home to Vertz Marketing and Mind and Body Medical Spa, according to the press release.

“We enjoy being in the Mequon area and are pleased with our current real estate presence in the county. We pride ourselves on being good stewards of our communities, and we apply this thinking to our branches as well. We like to ensure our employee and our customer spaces are comfortable and welcoming,” Port Washington State Bank President and COO James Schowalter said.

The bank is currently undergoing some renovations at its Cedarburg location along Washington Avenue to include additional meeting space, more private banking offices and a larger workspace for its customer service group which operates from behind the teller line, according to the press release.

There are also plans to expand the square footage of the first floor and include retooled-drive thru lanes at its Fredonia branch on Regal Drive.

The bank’s other locations are in Thiensville, Port Washington, Saukville, Grafton and Belgium.
