Tomorrow night’s evening game in the Premier League sees Manchester United go to Crystal Palace.
There was the familiar talk of crisis at Old Trafford following their 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool three weeks ago but, since the international break, fortunes have changed for Erik ten Hag’s men with two wins, 10 goals and none conceded. The detractors will point out that those wins came against struggling Southampton and League One side Barnsley in the EFL Cup and defeat at Selhurst Park is sure to re-open the debate about Ten Hag’s future.
Palace were tipped by some as outsiders for a European place this season but have made a slow start.
Oliver Glasner’s men have yet to win and have taken just a solitary point from home games with West Ham and Leicester. They did, however, enjoy a morale-boosting 2-1 EFL Cup win at London rivals QPR in midweek thanks to goals from Eddie Nketiah and Eberechi Eze.
