FREWSBURG — Sydney Frederes was a double winner for Frewsburg/Falconer as it opened its renovated pool with a 115-71 victory over Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville/Pine Valley/Cassadaga Valley in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association girls swimming Tuesday.
Frederes claimed the 50-yard freestyle (27.53) and 500-yard freestyle (6:08.04) for Frewsburg/Falconer, which also received victories from Alexandra Waid (200-yard freestyle), Zoe Chitester (100-yard butterfly), Mickey Hartley (100-yard freestyle) and Taylor Yost (100-yard backstroke).
Olivia Burlingame (200-yard individual medley), Elizabeth Pucci-Schaefer (1-meter diving) and Leah Waite (100-yard breaststroke) won individual events for Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville/Pine Valley/Cassadaga Valley.
