Penske Transportation Solutions and California-based ForeFront Power, a developer of commercial and industrial-scale solar energy and battery storage projects, recently launched Penske Energy, a joint venture.
The new company will be headquartered in Reading and will help commercial fleet operators plan, design, and deploy optimized electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. It will offer EV charging and energy infrastructure advisory consulting that includes infrastructure designs, technology assessment, strategic and operational planning, and practical project implementation.
Penske Energy will design and source proven EV charging infrastructure, track EV policy and incentive opportunities, and assess vehicle and route feasibility. It will use its network of implementation partners and technology suppliers to help streamline and simplify EV initiatives for customers.
“Together, we will create synergies benefitting commercial fleet customers by leveraging Penske’s deep fleet expertise along with ForeFront Power’s infrastructure and renewable energy development expertise,” Drew Cullen, Penske Transportation Solutions senior vice president of fuels and facilities, said.
Travis Hill will serve as Penske Energy managing director. He previously served in numerous operations management and sales at Penske Truck Leasing. In his new role, he will manage employees, develop business, and collaborate with customers and partners.
ForeFront Power serves business, community, education, healthcare, government, and solar customers.
