The Penn Yan Village Board will convene for its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 202 of Village Hall, located at 111 Elm Street. The agenda includes public hearings and resolutions that will impact local zoning laws and community events.

The meeting will open with a public hearing on proposed changes to the village’s zoning code. The proposed local law seeks to amend the zoning chapter to address overlay zoning districts. Following the hearing, the board will vote on Resolution No. 76-2024 to adopt Local Law H, which reflects these amendments.

Another public hearing will address the dedication of utility infrastructure for Phase I of the Keuka Moorings Development. This will be followed by a vote on Resolution No. 64-2024, which involves accepting the dedication from Keuka Outlet Development LLC.

Additional items on the agenda include approving community events such as the Yates County Chamber of Commerce Scarecrow Contest and the Penn Yan Academy Homecoming Parade. The board will also consider waiving fees for the parade and granting a peddler’s license to Penn Yan Diner for its temporary food truck operations.

Other significant matters include proposed local laws regarding water-only meters and septic system exemptions, as well as a petition for the annexation of approximately 72 acres by the Yates County Industrial Development Agency. The board will also review resolutions related to wastewater treatment improvements and approve several change orders for ongoing projects.
