DUNKIRK — Londyn Wilmot had nine kills and seven aces to lead Fredonia past Dunkirk 25-9, 25-17, 25-7 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls volleyball Thursday.
Maddie Saunders had 18 assists and eight aces, while Elizabeth Morris had four kills, five aces and 15 digs for the Hillbillies (8-5, 7-4).
Brooke Szymcak had an ace, two kills, two blocks and four digs, while Aaliyah Morales also had four digs for the Marauders (1-15, 0-11).
FALCONER GETS BY SOUTHWESTERN
FALCONER — Hannah Melquist dealt out 28 assists while adding 11 kills, four aces and 12 digs to lead Falconer past Southwestern 25-20, 23-25, 25-14, 25-9 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 action during the team’s “Pink Out” fundraiser game that benefited Lily’s Hope on Thursday.
Mylie Zaranek picked up 12 kills and 12 digs for the Golden Falcons (14-3, 8-3). Emily Zaranek provided another 12 kills and 11 digs; Kaylee Green had five blocks, two kills and three aces; and Augustine Krenzer added five kills, five aces, two blocks and 10 digs.
Southwestern (8-7, 6-5) was led by Siri DuBois with 13 kills and three aces; Madi Burnett recorded six kills, two blocks and three aces; Payton Swartz had 16 digs and two aces; and Bella Sirianni added 23 assists, an ace and eight digs.
HUSKIES ROLL PAST JAMESTOWN
Jamestown wrapped up the regular season being swept by Olean in Division 1 action 25-17, 25-17, 25-7.
The Red & Green finish with a 2-12 record overall and 2-10 in the league before the playoffs. Jamestown is currently the No. 10 seed in the Section VI Class AA playoffs.
Olean (9-7, 5-6) finishes the regular season on Monday when it hosts Fredonia.
Olean’s jayvees won 25-19, 9-25, 25-20.
EAGLES HOLD OFF PIRATES
ELLICOTTVILLE — Natalee Leiper scored 13 kills, 20 digs and three aces as Ellicottville (11-7, 5-6 CCAA D2) defeated Clymer 25-22, 25-16, 22-25, 25-20 in nonleague action.
Riley Whitmer recorded 10 kills, three digs and two blocks; Ande Northrup dealt out 22 assists, 13 digs, four kills and three aces; and Hayden Andera made five kills, an assist, seven digs and four aces.
Clymer fell to 12-5 overall. The Division 4 champions will travel to Westfield on Monday for one last tuneup prior to the Class D playoffs.
