HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Biden Administration is slated to make an announcement Tuesday on the future of Hawaii’s broadband infrastructure and digital equity initiatives.
It involves the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands and a Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program.
Hawaii state officials and national telecommunications leadership will provide a briefing at 10 a.m.
Expected to speak is Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke, DHHL Chair Kali Watson, and Associate Administrator of the Office of Telecommunications and Information Applications Doug Kinkoph.
The briefing will be livestreamed on the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Facebook page. HNN will also carry the livestream on its digital platforms.
