Intersection of 39th St. and A Ave., (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — The City of Kearney on behalf of NPPD announces that on Monday, May 20, 2024, the intersection A Avenue at 39th Street will be closed for the removal and replacement of aged electrical distribution infrastructure.
Motorists will be required to access the businesses off of A Avenue from the south. Traffic on 39th Street will be shifted to head-to-head traffic at the intersection of A Avenue.
The intersection is expected to reopen on Thursday, May 23, 2024, weather permitting.
Due to the often-heavy volume of traffic in the area, motorists are urged to use extreme caution when traveling through the work zone, stay off cell phones, and watch out for equipment and crew members.
