No. 18 UCLA and North Carolina are battling it out in a close one in the first of two CBS Sports Classic games Saturday inside Madison Square Garden as the Bruins lead 40-32 at the half over the Tar Heels in what has been a game of runs from both teams.
UCLA’s Sebastian Mack and Tyler Bilodeau have 16 and 13 points at the break, respectively, to pace the Bruins and their balanced attack. UNC freshman Ian Jackson has been one of the lone bright spots for the Tar Heels on offense with 13 points and responsible for three of the team’s four made 3-pointers in the opening frame.Â
