Nordstrom Rack will open to shoppers on March 13 at Randall Square in Geneva.

Announced in 2024 to occupy part of the former Bed Bath and Beyond store after the national retailer went bankrupt and closed all its stores in 2023, Nordstrom Rack will occupy 25,000 square feet of space in a shopping center that includes Marshall’s, Michael’s, Old Navy, PetSmart and Ulta.

Managed by Viking Partners, Randall Square is off Randall Road and Fabyan Parkway.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, the upscale fashion retail chain. Customers may realize up to 70% savings on apparel, accessories, home furnishings, beauty products and shoes, a Nordstrom release stated.

“We’re very excited as a chamber and, as a resident of Geneva, I’m very excited,” said Johanna Patterson, communications director for the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

“Geneva has a history and a reputation for being a shopping destination, and I think having Nordstrom Rack here will really complement the stores that we already have and bring a good variety of brands at a good price point, which I think our residents will enjoy,” she said.

The Geneva location will offer customers online order pickup from Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com.

The Seattle-based company has four Nordstrom stores and 17 Nordstrom Rack stores in Illinois. Its most recent Nordstrom Rack in metropolitan Chicago opened May 30, 2024, in Wheaton’s Danada Square East shopping center.

“Nordstrom has that brand recognition. They’re known for great customer service and more elevated brands,” Patterson said. “I think it’ll do really well in Geneva. I think it’s a good pairing for this town.”
