No injuries reported in early morning fire at Sioux Falls business

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Crews in Sioux Falls responded to a fire early Saturday morning at a commercial building in the northwest part of the city.

A little before 3:00 a.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was called to the 3600 block of West Hovland Drive, near Interstate 29 and Russell Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered a large, single-story commercial building with extensive and heavy fire throughout the large shop section.

The building suffered severe damage and fire suppression efforts were difficult due to the amount of fire present and the contents and construction of the building.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
