RALEIGH, N.C. — Zoe Brooks scored a career-high 33 points to help No. 13 N.C. State beat top-ranked Notre Dame 104-95 in double overtime Sunday, ending the Fighting Irish’s 19-game winning streak while keeping alive their hopes to share the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title.
Brooks had 10 rebounds for the Wolfpack (22-5, 14-2 ACC), while Aziaha James added 20 points. That included a highlight-reel transition layup in which James took the ball around her back to change hands and avoid a strip by Olivia Miles, a sequence that had the packed Reynolds Coliseum erupting in a roar.
Lady Lions fall
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Penn State fell to Michigan 78-68 on Saturday in women’s basketball and fell to 10-17, 1-15 Big Ten.
Redshirt sophomore Gracie Merkle recorded her fourth consecutive game with a double-double, putting up 18 points to go with 10 boards. Graduate Gabby Elliott posted her seventh-straight double-digit scoring outing with 15 points .
Alli Campbell (Bellwood-Antis) led the Lady Lions in assists with seven and also scored eight points.

SFU women downed
HACKENSACK, N.J. — The Saint Francis women’s basketball team lost, 60-33, to FDU in Northeast Conference play on Saturday.
Natalie Johnson had a team-high eight points off the bench.
With the loss, the Red Flash fell half a game behind CCSU for third place. Saint Francis clinched a home game in the NEC quarterfinals with its win against Mercyhurst on Thursday.
The Red Flash will make trips to Chicago State and Mercyhurst to end the regular season.

PSU Altoona loses
PITTSBURGH — The Penn State Altoona women’s basketball team finished its regular season schedule on the road Saturday against AMCC opponent La Roche University, and the Lions were dealt a 74-48 loss.
Penn State Altoona will enter the AMCC Tournament as the No. 4 seed and will host a home game against No. 5 seed Alfred State College in Adler Arena on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Penn State Altoona (12-13, 9-7 AMCC) got out to a 15-9 lead by the end of the first quarter, and the Lions were down by only three points, 29-26, at the half. But La Roche (20-5, 14-2 AMCC) broke the game open in the second half, when it outscored Penn State Altoona 45-22.
Jess Burns scored a team-high 12 points for Penn State Altoona. Jaidyn McCracken (Bellwood-Antis) added seven points and seven rebounds, and Avana Saynes and Madison Rusnica contributed six points apiece.
Mount No. 3 seed
CRESSON — The Mount Aloysius women’s basketball team concluded regular season play with its fifth straight win, overcoming Hilbert on Saturday, 70-41.
Guard Molly Richards led the Mounties with 14 points.
Shooting 55% from the floor and 57% from 3-point range in the opening 10 minutes, the Mounties took a decisive 27-8 lead into the second quarter.
The Mounties enter the AMCC tournament as the No. 3 seed, with first-round action beginning Tuesday. The Mounties will host six-seed Pitt-Bradford.
Mount Aloysius sits at 2-0 against the Panthers this season, setting a program record for points scored (104 and 105) in each of the matchups.
