At its latest September meeting, New Mexico State Investment Council announced its 2025 pacing plan for infrastructure.

The Santa Fe-based sovereign wealth fund aims to meet its target allocation of 12 percent for infrastructure in 2025. In order to reach its goal, the council plans on decreasing investments in conventional energy such as gas and oil. Additionally, it intends on investing in agriculture, timber, metal, mining and non-energy funds.

New Mexico State Investment Council currently allocates 7 percent of its investment portfolio to infrastructure, with the total infrastructure portfolio amounting to $36.6 billion.
