NFL Week 6 scores: Ravens, Lamar Jackson win battle of MVP candidates, Buccaneers demolish Saints

Must read

The matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Commanders was billed as the game of the week, and it did not disappoint. Lamar Jackson, 2023 MVP and early 2024 MVP candidate, went toe-to-toe with QB Jayden Daniels, the Commanders’ 2024 first-round pick who is a leading candidate for rookie of the year (as well as MVP). While the Ravens outdid the Commanders 30-23, there were great moments on all sides of this entertaining contest.

Here’s a shocker: The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, two of the higher-scoring offenses in the NFL, combined to score a ton of points on Sunday in Spencer Rattler’s Saints debut. That’s only a slight exaggeration. The two teams combined to score 51 points after just two quarters. But after halftime, the Bucs are the only ones who did any scoring. They ended up dropping a 50-burger on the Saints, who didn’t score a single point past the second quarter.
