STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – If you are obsessed with “Bridgerton,” “Squid Game,” “Stranger Things” or any other Netflix original series, get ready for those shows to come alive at a shopping mall near you: The streaming service has announced it will soon open several experiential entertainment venues in vacant retail space across the country — the first of which will debut at King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas in 2025.
“At Netflix House, you can enjoy regularly updated immersive experiences, indulge in retail therapy, and get a taste — literally — of your favorite Netflix series and films through unique food and drink offerings,” Marian Lee, Netflix’s chief marketing officer, noted in a press release. “We’ve launched more than 50 experiences in 25 cities, and Netflix House represents the next generation of our distinctive offerings. The venues will bring our beloved stories to life in new, ever-changing, and unexpected ways.”
Located in what Netflix dubs “two of the most popular shopping centers in America,” boasting hundreds of retailers, high foot traffic and proximity to major cities, the first two Netflix Houses will occupy former department store locations and span footprints of more than 100,000 square feet.
The concept builds upon previous Netflix live experiences for “Bridgerton,” “Money Heist,” “Stranger Things” and “Squid Game,” as well as Netflix Bites – an L.A.-based pop-up restaurant that offered a tasting menu from the streaming service’s most popular culinary shows.
But these venues go one step further, allowing visitors to explore their favorite Netflix stories and characters year-round. Here, fans can: waltz or enjoy high tea on a replica of the “Bridgerton” set; compete in the “Squid Game” Glass Bridge challenge; eat a meal inspired by Netflix shows around the world; or buy some authentic “Stranger Things” merch. Outside these expansive spaces, fans will be treated to some eye-popping sculptures and a mural mash-up of characters from their favorite Netflix titles.
There’s still a year or more until the spaces debut, but Netflix fans can sign up for sneak peeks and exclusive fan content at NetflixHouse.com.
