NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WJMN) — Leaders for the City of Negaunee have announced plans to host their first-ever State of Our Infrastructure Open House in late June.
City Manager Nate Heffron said the event will give residents the chance to learn about the status of the critical components of the area’s city structures, including streets, sidewalks and water/sewer mains.
We’re told detailed maps will be available, as well as some of the equipment used by construction crews on various projects around the city. Staff will also be present to explain or talk about the local infrastructure with community members.
Proposed projects will also be up for review; namely, the USDA Phase-2 Water and USDA Phase-1 Sewer projects that are under consideration.
The event is scheduled for June 26 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Upper Peninsula Brewing Company.
