Google is gearing up to unveil its line of products on August 13. Along with the Pixel 9 series, the company is also expected to launch other products like Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Watch 3. While there is no official information released around the Pixel Watch 3, a recent rumour reveals much about the upcoming device. According to the leak, the Google Pixel Watch 3 will include a better design with thinner bezels. But this is not it. The leak also suggests that the wearable will be equipped with several spes and software improvements, including more Google apps tuned in.
Google Pixel Watch 3: Thin bezels expected
According to the promo images by Android Headlines, the Pixel Watch 3 will be a prominent improvement in Google’s portfolio of wearables. Newly leaked images offer a closer look at the Pixel Watch 3’s design, revealing significant bezel reductions. Compared to its predecessor, the 41mm model boasts a 10 per cent larger screen area, while the larger 45mm model features a substantial 40 per cent increase in screen real estate, thanks to its slimmed-down bezels and larger size.
The latest images of the Pixel Watch 3 showcase a major design improvement: drastically slimmed-down bezels, a common criticism of the previous two models, resulting in a more modern and sleek appearance. Pixel Watch 3 also introduces Google’s “Actua” display branding to the smartwatch, with the display now hitting 2,000 nits of peak brightness, up from just 1,000 nits on the Pixel Watch 2.
Google Pixel Watch 3: Software Updates
The wearable is most likely to see a software improvement as well. Here are the Google apps that are expected to arrive in the Pixel Watch 3:
-Google is enhancing its Maps app with offline capabilities, enabling users to access maps even without internet connectivity.
-Additionally, the Wallet app is being upgraded to support public transit and access features, allowing smartwatch users to utilise their device for a broader range of functions beyond just making payments, such as navigating public transportation and accessing secure locations.
-The Google Home app might get a major upgrade as well. As per the leak, it will enable users to access live video feeds from supported Google Nest cameras, complete with two-way audio, allowing for seamless communication and interaction. This is notably a substantial enhancement over the existing notification-based preview feature.
-The Pixel Camera app on Pixel Watch 3 will also be able to switch between photo and video capture.
Google Pixel Watch 3: Battery
Google is maintaining the same 24-hour battery life claim for the Pixel Watch 3, but introducing a new Battery Saver mode that extends battery life to up to 36 hours, as seen in the promo photos. Additionally, charging speed has been improved by 20 per cent for the 41mm model, allowing for quicker top-ups.
