Their team of data journalists analyzes millions of hospital visits and admissions to identify the best hospitals for each specialty area.
And though specific programs aren’t called out by U.S. News’ scorecard, MMC’s Total Hip and Knee Replacement Program has achieved Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification for 13 consecutive years in recognition of the program’s commitment to excellence in providing care for joint replacement patients. Additionally, MMC’s colorectal surgeons offer an innovative Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Program that helps colon cancer patients recover more quickly from colorectal surgery and ensures fewer complications. And the Center for Diabetes Education at MMC holds the prestigious American Diabetes Association Education Recognition certificate as offering quality diabetes self-management education that is an essential component of effective diabetes treatment.
U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, has previously recognized MMC among the Best Hospitals for Maternity Care, which identifies hospitals that provide high-quality maternity care for uncomplicated pregnancies.
“The distinctions from U.S. News & World Report are reflective of Monmouth Medical Center’s commitment to excellence in providing the highest quality, safest care,” said President and CEO Eric Carney. “We are continually striving to provide comprehensive, equitable care, and these recognitions are a testament to that.”
