TILTON — Molly’s Joint has been known for about the past year and a half for its cannabis consumption lounge, gaming and bar and grill restaurant, adjacent to the Parkway Dispensary now selling locally-cultivated cannabis.

Redemption Botanicals’ CEO Marshall Lionti said Molly’s Bar and Grill restaurant is temporarily down. It’s going through a re-branding, and they hope to reopen it within about 90 days, he said.

Lionti said the cannabis dispensary and lounge are still open with their normal operating hours.

“It’s a strategic update,” he said about the restaurant portion.

There still will be food offered in the future. They’re exploring all options, Lionti said.

They’ve been wanting to attract more of the public with the restaurant.

A new entrance door has been added to go directly into Molly’s Bar and Grill.

Developer Paul Offutt previously has said the restaurant was slow getting going, but “you don’t smell cannabis in there. You can take your grandkids or your mother. You can’t smoke or do cannabis in there. It’s a separate restaurant.”

They want it to be a venue where people can come and enjoy themselves, whether or not they’re involved with cannabis. They want Molly’s Bar and Grill to stand on its own without it necessarily associated with or relying on the other businesses for traffic, Lionti also previously has said.

Molly’s Joint also continues to have events scheduled, including Glow Bongo on March 8, Lifted Yoga on March 16 and a Dueling Pianos event on May 24.
