“Within a month, we are optimistic to complete President Joko Widodo’s direction on the State Palace and ceremonial ground project,” he said in a statement from his office on Sunday.
Thohir mentioned the first Independence Day ceremony at IKN would be attended by international guests as well.
Currently, the ceremonial field and State Palace projects which were built through operational cooperation (KSO) by PT PP (Persero) and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) have progressed to 77.9 percent, or above the previous target of 73 percent.
Built facilities include the grand guest plaza area, ceremony field, lobby area, and 34 pillar column area, he explained.
Interior areas such as the credentials room, heritage flag room, and official activities room are almost ready to welcome domestic and foreign guests, Thohir added.
Meanwhile, the President Director of PT PP, Novel Arsyad, also expressed his optimism for the completion of the two projects for the Independence Day ceremony. In completing projects, his party is committed to always prioritizing safety and quality of work.
PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk is also responsible for the construction of the Presidential Secretary Building which progress has reached 91.12 percent. Followed with progress at the Coordinating Ministry office 3 which covers the political and security sector at 80.14 percent, and Coordinating Ministry office 4 which covers the human development and culture with 85.22 percent.
PT Waskita Karya President Director Muhammad Hanugroho is optimistic that the Presidential Secretariat building project, Coordinating Ministries office 3 and Coordinating Ministry office 4 will be completed in this year. His part is also committed to continue supporting infrastructure development in Indonesia.
