SEATTLE – Microsoft email access seemed to be restricted for users across the US Saturday afternoon for a period of about an hour.
Downdetector, a website that monitors site crashes and technical issues, registered a significant spike in reports of Microsoft 365 email access lockouts at 12:40 p.m., lasting for slightly under an hour.
Microsoft 365 Status, the official company page that offers information on outages, has yet to offer a statement.
According to Medha Cloud, about 345 million people use Microsoft 365 to communicate, making it one of the most important email infrastructures globally.
