MIAMI – A bagel shop in downtown Miami has once again been targeted by a vandal.
Josh Nodel, the owner of Holy Bagels & Pizzeria, located at 93 NW First St., told Local 10 News that one of his shops was targeted for the fourth time over the weekend.
Numerous volunteers came to clean up the graffiti that read, “Free Palestine End Genocide.”
Surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News shows the culprit spray painting the message on the shop’s front windows.
Police also confirmed that an Israeli flag had been vandalized during the incident and released a photo of the alleged suspect.
“It’s unbelievable,” said Nodel. “It’s an act of violence against the Jewish nation and an act of violence against the law of Florida.”
“The whole community has been behind me,” Nodel added. “I’ve gotten many different calls from many different directions.”
Nodel reported another incident back in December at Bagel Time Cafe, located at 3915 Alton Road, which had Israeli and American flags vandalized by different suspects since war broke out in the Middle East.
Police arrested a suspect in one of the incidents.
But despite the latest crime, Locals say they’re determined to keep showing their American — and Jewish — pride.
“We are one community. We support Israel. We Jews will not be silent like we were in 1941. God bless America,” said a judge outside of the courthouse, which is next to the bagel shop in downtown Miami.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
