Mazda of Amarillo has been honored with the prestigious “President’s Award” and inducted into the 2024 President’s Club for outstanding customer care and exceptional sales performance.

Mazda North America bestows its highest honor on a select few dealerships that exceed excellence in sales, service, and customer care, the Amarillo dealership said in a recent announcement. Only the top 50 dealerships in the combined categories are named to the Mazda President’s Club each year.

Nick Khoury, owner of Mazda of Amarillo, said “I’m incredibly proud of our team at Mazda of Amarillo. Their dedication to our company’s culture and commitment to exceptional customer service truly deserves all the credit.”

R&R MachineWorks acquires Farmac Industries to launch R&R Industrial

DALHART – R&R Machine Works, based in Dalhart, has announced the acquisition of Farmac Industries, a partnership that paves the way for the launch of R&R Industrial. “This is an exciting time for R&R Machine and our future,” stated Warren Cornelius, President of R&R Machine Works. We are working to help feed the world. Since our restructuring, we’ve tripled in size and actively pursued new expansion opportunities.” To meet rising demand and streamline operations, R&R Industrial will also introduce a new production facility and automation division in Amarillo, set to launch in 2025. AC’s general counsel tapped to lead state attorney group

Amarillo College’s Mark White, who serves as the executive vice president and general counsel, was elected to serve as the president of the Texas Association of Community College Attorneys. “It’s a privilege to work with my peers in this group,” White said. “AC will be well served for us to be connected to this group with the increasing complexity of community college management.” Serving in his role with AC since 2016, White’s experience includes local and state service.

Statewide leaders from Amarillo, Lubbock among those sworn in as new Directors of The Texas Lyceum

AUSTIN – The Texas Lyceum recently welcomed 26 business and civic leaders from across the state as new Directors of the organization. New Directors joining the Texas Lyceum Class of 2025, including Nicholas Ganjei of Amarillo and Brooke Hobgood of Lubbock, were sworn in at the annual Investiture ceremony on the Senate Floor of the State Capitol Building Jan. 30. Ganjei is the interim U.S. attorney for Southern District of Texas; he most recently was chief counsel to U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution. Celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, the Lyceum launched a national “Campaign for Civility”. Notable Lyceum alumni include President George W. AgriCapture partners with Texas Agricultural Land Trust to preserve native grasslands in Texas Panhandle

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – AgriCapture and the Texas Agricultural Land Trust (TALT) have partnered to protect more than 6,300 acres of native grasslands in the Texas Panhandle — ensuring both environmental and financial benefits for landowners. Through AgriCapture’s Avoided Grasslands Conversion Project, the ranches will generate carbon credits for preventing conversion to cropland, avoiding high-emission agricultural activities, and preserving vital ecosystems.
