On Saturday, brace yourself for an apocalypse if you want to go shopping. Similarly to the previous years, shops and supermarkets will be closed due to Pentecost on the 19th and 20th of May.
Hungarian shops to close
As Economx also pointed out, this year, Pentecost will be on the 19th and 20th of May, meaning many shops will follow their typical closure pattern. It’s advisable to do your grocery shopping on Saturday the 18th to avoid any inconvenience caused by the two-day closure, which is likely to stir up quite a bit of commotion. Hungarian shops will be open as usual on the 18th and will reopen on the 21st. Here are some of the affected retail chains:
- Tesco,
- Auchan,
- Lidl,
- Aldi,
- Spar,
- Penny,
- CBA,
- Coop,
- Reál.
