EMILY DUBINSKY is a freshman in the vocal performance program at New York University in New York City. She will be singing the song, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” with her NYU chamber choir on the Today Show around 8:30 a.m. Friday. The Today Show is airing a special “Rudolph” segment, marking 60 years since its NBC debut.

Dubinsky is from St. Clairsville and a 2024 graduate of St. Clairsville High School. She auditioned and was accepted into the vocal performance program at NYU, which is known as one of the premiere programs in the country. Entrance into this program is contingent upon the student meeting rigorous academic requirements.

Dubinsky earned a scholarship covering all of her tuition. As an artist, she has performed locally at Blame My Roots Festival, Barnesville Pumpkin Festival, at Washington Wildthings games, and other miscellaneous sporting and church events. Last summer, she auditioned and attended an exclusive Contemporary Vocal Music Workshop at NYU, where she was under the tutelage of many music industry professionals including Vanessa Williams.
