Coffee is the fuel that gets many people through their day. Some coffee drinks also can be refreshing, make a day feel special or as one meme I recently viewed said it, coffee can be an emotional support drink for mothers of young kids.
Whatever category you fall into, odds are your taste buds know what makes a quality cup of coffee versus a bitter one.
At newly launched AM Coffee, not only is the caffeinated beverage in its name, but it’s also what owners Aaron and Melissa Hale are passionate about. Versus a traditional brick-and-mortar coffee shop, the Hales bring their pour-over coffee and espresso beverages to you, whether that’s for a pick-me-up at a wedding, a treat for a baby shower or a sign of thank-you for hardworking employees and teachers.
Based in Muskego, AM Coffee brings all the supplies, including a beautiful coffee cart, to the event.
“I love coffee education. That is pure fun for me,” Aaron Hale said, adding that coffee classes are in the business’s future. Aaron Hale has a full-time job, while Melissa is a stay-at-home mom; they like the flexibility having a mobile business offers them.
Their slogan is “Coffee comes to you.”
For Melissa Hale, her love lies with the drink itself and “Making coffee for people.” People know that if they come to her house, they will be getting a mug of coffee.
AM Coffee is one of the first mobile coffee businesses in the area, Aaron Hale said, but it’s something that is catching on around the country.
“We will serve the niche need that is not really met right now,” Aaron Hale said.
But AM Coffee is more than just serving a delicious cup of coffee: It’s an experience. Aaron and Melissa Hale will explain the process as they make their pour-over coffee and lattes. They also will do latte art.
The reaction from customers is enthusiastic because getting a free high-quality coffee is a real treat. Also getting it for free allows them the freedom to try something new without having to worry about not liking it after paying for it.
“It’s an experience for people who love coffee, they are over the moon to get a free latte,” Melissa Hale said.
AM Coffee gets its beans from Valentia Coffee in Madison, which is owned by Aaron Hale’s brother.
“We are excited for people to catch on to this idea. We know that we are not the first ones, but also this is something that is going to pick up in the Milwaukee area in the next few years,” Aaron Hale said.
