Barcelona winger EMERGES as Liverpool’s preferred Mo Salah successor

Liverpool are facing a triple contract blow in the summer of 2025 with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Salah is expected to be subject of transfer interest from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia while there may be options available to him in Europe in the shape of Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Barcelona.

Liverpool only signed ONE player for the first team last summer with Federico Chiesa arriving from Juventus.

The 27-year-old Italy winger was signed for a knock-down fee, which could reach £12 million, as Juve sought a solution to get his salary off the books.

Lyon were handed a provisional RELEGATION to Ligue 2 on Friday by the French football watchdog – the DNCG – as a result of financial mismanagement under owner John Textor.

The storied Ligue 1 side were also BANNED from making any transfers in the upcoming January window with their current debt standing at over €500m.

If it wasn’t for a couple of unfortunate injuries, Liverpool’s Stefan Bajcetic could be a regular in Arne Slot’s first-team squad and competing for Ryan Gravenberch’s place at the base of the midfield.
