Samsung isn’t going easy on AI this year. The Galaxy S25 series is supposed to be filled to the brim with AI features we haven’t exactly seen yet. Some are less unfamiliar, such as Google Gemini on the Galaxy S25. A new promotional video has been leaked showcasing those AI improvements and Google Gemini in action.
Prior to the actual release and announcement of the Galaxy S25 series, a promotional trailer for the phone has been leaked online (via Android Headlines). The video showcases a few of the things Samsung wants to highlight on the device. You can probably guess a lot of it has to do with AI.
In the first part of the video, we get a good look at the light blue Galaxy S25 Ultra variant. This might not be a focus in the video, but the sheen on the back of the phone looks pretty good! The phone itself displays a set of quick tiles at the bottom of the lock screen. Swiping through those showcases a “Morning brief” button.
Morning brief is part of Samsung’s new AI summary suite, pulling data from select apps in the morning that may be pertinent to the user. That includes weather and sleep data if you’re wearing Galaxy wearables. It’ll surely be a useful part of One UI 7 and likely not exclusive to Samsung’s newest devices.
The video goes on to show off Google Gemini in our first look at Google’s AI model on Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series. Gemini, activated by a long-press of the power button within the Messages app, shows up in a small box that doesn’t take on the same UI design as on Google’s own hardware. Samsung’s iteration is a simple box with a single send arrow. The box does take on the same glow to note that it’s listening. Gemini is used to send a restaurant suggestion to a friend with a simple, detailed command.
Samsung goes on to advertise “nightography.” Night video in One UI 7 will be a better option for low-light videos, though it remains to be seen how well Samsung’s phones will perform in the photo department this year. The feature looks similar to Google’s video boost, which can be useful, although sometimes inconvenient.
Audio eraser gets a mention in the promo as well. The feature also uses AI to detect certain sounds in your videos, allowing the user to pull them out for a cleaner clip. The demo shows off voices, music, wind, and generic noise categories that can be manipulated with AI.
The last few frames of the promo show off the three main devices: the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. This has, by far, been the most interesting leak we’ve seen because it covers AI features that will affect other devices beyond the Galaxy S25 series, including Google Gemini. Still, the Galaxy S25 will be posied to take the most advantage of what One UI 7 will offer in full.
Samsung has reservations open now for the Galaxy S25 series, with a $50 credit when you pre-order and up to $1,200+ in savings. Reservations are free, and there’s no obligation to actually buy a device if you sign up, but there’s no other time you can get that $50 credit.
