Lakewood police arrest man who allegedly shot man, woman at B&I shopping mall

A man suspected in a January 17 shooting at the B&I shopping mall in Lakewood has been arrested, police announced on Tuesday.

The Lakewood Police Department named Victor Moran as the suspect. He has been booked into jail on an outstanding warrant for the shooting, as well as new charges for possession of firearms.

Lakewood officers responded to the initial shooting at 8012 S Tacoma Way around 5:20 p.m. on January 17. Upon arrival, they found a woman with gunshot wounds, who was taken to the hospital for treatment A second male victim was later discovered at a different hospital. Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives worked to find the suspect, later identified as Moran.

He was found on February 3 in Federal Way, where he was a passenger in a car. Following a brief pursuit with the Federal Way Police Department, Moran and the other people in the car were arrested without incident. Police said Moran was found with two guns,

leading to formal charges and an arrest warrant for two counts of first-degree assault. Moran was found in possession of two firearms at the time of his arrest and was booked into jail on the outstanding warrant and additional charges. Other occupants of the vehicle were also taken into custody on various charges.
