The Kiwanis Club of Santa Maria-Noontime will hold its annual Back to School Shopping Spree Sunday, Aug. 4, dedicated to supporting underprivileged children as they prepare for the school year.
The event will take place at Old Navy in Santa Maria, and aims to provide new clothes and essential school supplies to 125 children from the Santa Maria Valley. Each child will be accompanied by a club member, volunteer, or parent and will receive a $100 pre-loaded gift card.
The gift card will allow them to purchase new clothes including jeans, t-shirts, shoes and socks.
Additionally, every child will receive a brand-new backpack, sponsored by KIA of Santa Maria.
