Kenneth Wayne Lee was born April 10, 1935 in Avon, N.Y. to the late Sgt. Clifford H. Lee and Frances Kate Cutler. Sgt. Lee was in the State Police and because of that moved around the state to Mt. Morris, Westfield, and finally to Brocton, where Kenneth received his education, graduating in 1953 from Brocton Central School. For many years he held the record for most baskets scored in a basketball game at Brocton High.
He was predeceased by his brothers Clifford C. (Beatrice) Lee and Robert E. Lee, and is survived by his sisters Nancy Jane Bennett and Margaret Mary Edgerton.
He married Elsie Pratt on December 10, 1955 at Kidder Memorial Church in Jamestown, N.Y. He had four children, Kim (Don) Shedd, Connie (Michael) Odebralski, Kenneth Lee, and Kristin (Dennis) Delcamp. He is survived by eight grandchildren, Katelyn (Joseph) Shedd, Travis Shedd, Jarred Odebralski, Dylan Lee, Mckenzie Lee, Madison Lee, Marissa Delcamp, and Shannelle (Mayson) Naylor. He has four great grandchildren, Isabella Angona, Gabriella Gonzales, Kinzie Gonzales, and Lilith Naylor.
Kenneth worked for many years as an exterminator for Hydro Fumigation Services, as an inspector for the sewer district in Brocton, N.Y., and as an inspector for Pyramid Labs. His love was his grape farm which he operated with his wife for 50 years.
He was a member of the Farm Bureau, Cooperative Extension, and Westfield Maid. He was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church and served on the board, then later served as a deacon for several years at the conception of the Tri Church Parish.
He loved working around his home and garden. It gave him much pleasure to see things grow.
Relatives and friends may visit Morse Funeral Home 51 Highland Ave. Brocton, NY Sunday May 26, 2024 from 2PM to 4PM.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
