KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – On Wednesday, the Kansas City Police Department responded to a standoff in the shopping center behind the Old Westport wagon.
The incident started early on Dec. 11 when officers were called the shopping center at Westport Road and Southwest Trafficway, behind the Old Westport wagon.
The circumstances leading up to the standoff are unclear, but witnesses told KCTV5 that there may be a naked man inside a vehicle.
Another witness said she and her daughter were stuck inside the First Watch restaurant for several hours as they waited to be safely evacuated.
Just after 1 p.m., KCPD confirmed that the suspect is in custody.
