KALISPELL, Mont. — The Kalispell Salvation Army teamed up with Old Navy to take Flathead County students back-to-school shopping.
Twenty-seven students got the opportunity to go around Old Navy and pick out clothing and shoes.
Every student participant received items for free from community donations made towards the Kalispell Salvation Army.
Lieutenant Sean Pease has been with the Kalispell Salvation Army for only one month and was pleased with how his first community event turned out.
“It’s really one of those events like all of our other programs that can’t happen if the community members doesn’t support us,” said Pease. “So it’s been an amazing turnout. We had donations, monetary donations from the community but we also had a great turnout for volunteers.”
The Kalispell Salvation Army is looking for volunteers for the annual Bell Ringing Crew.
