John Przytula

John Przytula, 84, of Fredonia passed away Friday morning, Aug. 16, 2024 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunkirk. Born in Fredonia on May 6, 1940, son of the late Stephen and Antoinette (Krolowski) Przytula.

Growing up, John attended Fredonia Schools. For approximately 60 years, John worked as a Finisher for Al-Tech Specialty Steel. His commitment to his career exemplified his strong work ethic and passion for excellence traits that he carried into every aspect of his life.

In his personal life, John was an avid sports fan, passionately following the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Indians. Beyond his love for sports, he had a deep appreciation for farming, taking pleasure in cultivating tomatoes, grapes, and raising cattle. He also enjoyed listening to country music.

John embodied a spirit that resonated with warmth and laughter. He was known for his easy-going nature and a sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day. John’s infectious laugh was a hallmark of his personality, drawing friends and family together in moments of joy.

Memberships include the Conservation Club and the former Moose Club.

Surviving John includes his daughter Peggy (Gregory) Rose; grandchildren Joanna (Seth) Pigate, Nicholas Rose, and Thomas Rose; great-granddaughter Lydianna Pigate. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

John is preceded by his loving wife of over 40 years, Joyce A. (Bielecki) Przytula; a son John H. Przytula; parents Stephen and Antoinette (Krolowski) Przytula; siblings Shirley Tillburg, Lillian Polasik, Julia Gaszynski, Helen Bielecki, Genevieve Siebert, Peter and Aloysius Przytula.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 at noon in Celebration of both Joyce and John. The family requests attendees to wear their favorite Buffalo Bills attire in their honor. Interment in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
