Reliance Jio recently announced significant changes to its prepaid and postpaid plans, set to take effect on July 3, 2024. The telecom giant has increased prices by around 12 percent in line with the plan of boosting revenue from 5G services and increasing average revenue per user (ARPU). While the price hike was anticipated for some time, one of the major highlights of this revenue plan came as a surprise to many users: Jio will no longer offer unlimited 5G data with certain prepaid plans.
Starting July 3, Reliance Jio will only offer unlimited 5G data on prepaid plans that provide 2GB of data per day or more. This means that plans with 1.5GB of data per day or less will not get access to 5G internet data. Here is the list of Jio prepaid plans which will offer 5G internet data:

Rs 349 Plan: Previously Rs 299, this plan now costs Rs 349 and provides 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits.
Rs 399 Plan: Previously Rs 349, this plan now costs Rs 399 and includes 2.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits.
Rs 449 Plan: Previously Rs 399, this plan now costs Rs 449 and offers 3GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits.
Jio 56 day plans with 5G data
Rs 629 Plan: Previously Rs 533, this plan now costs Rs 629 and offers 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits.
Jio 84 day plans with 5G benefits
Rs 859 Plan: Previously Rs 719, this plan now costs Rs 859 and offers 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits.
Rs 1199 Plan: Previously Rs 999, this plan now costs Rs 1199 and provides 3GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits.

Rs 3599 Plan: Previously Rs 2999, this plan now costs Rs 3599 and offers 2.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits for 365 days.

Rs 299 Plan: Previously Rs 239, this plan now costs Rs 299 and includes 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits.
Rs 579 Plan: Previously Rs 479, this plan now costs Rs 579 and includes 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and SMS benefits.

Jio announces new services
Jio is also introducing two new applications: JioSafe, a quantum-secure communication app, and JioTranslate, an AI-powered multilingual communication app. Both services will be available for free for Jio users for one year, adding further value to the revamped plans.
