Jennifer Lopez visited Ben Affleck’s rental home after taking his son, Samuel, out for a day of shopping amid the troubled couple’s looming divorce.
Late Sunday afternoon, paparazzi caught Lopez, 55, arriving solo at Affleck’s Brentwood, Calif., property, where she stayed for close to five hours.
The singer donned a white linen jumper, which she paired with sneakers, a small purse, large hoop earrings and sunglasses.
She wore her caramel-colored hair straight and down and sported minimal makeup.
The songstress’ driver — who had dropped her off earlier in the day — returned to retrieve her around 8 p.m. local time, but Lopez didn’t come out of the house until around 9:45 p.m.
Though her marriage to Affleck, 51, is circling the drain, they seem to be putting their children and stepchildren first.
Lopez shares twins Emme and Max, 16, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck co-parents Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
Around noon on Sunday, photographers spotted Lopez and Emme arriving at Garner’s house, also located in Brentwood.
The duo walked in, and about 15 minutes later, the Grammy winner came out with Samuel, who was dressed in a navy blue graphic T-shirt, black jeans and sneakers.
It’s believed Emme was dropped off to hang out with Seraphina.
Lopez and Samuel then went on a shopping spree, during which they were seen walking with their arms around each other. At one point, Samuel even took her photo with fans.
First, the pair went to Neiman Marcus, where they spent about an hour. Upon exiting the department store, Samuel was snapped carrying a bag of Creed cologne.
The duo then went to Century City Mall for almost three hours and were photographed leaving with several shopping bags.
While at the mall, a pap asked Lopez if she was shopping for Affleck’s birthday, which is on Thursday. She simply laughed.
Lopez and Samuel then got into her car and returned to Garner’s residence, where the former left Samuel and picked up Emme.
That’s when Lopez’s driver took her to Affleck’s rental home.
Speculation that the two are heading toward Splitsville began in early May after the actor-director, 51, did not accompany his wife to the Met Gala.
They then spent most of the summer apart, including the couple’s second wedding anniversary and her birthday.
They’ve also been inconsistent about wearing their wedding rings, and Lopez was caught “liking” an Instagram post about unhealthy relationships.
As for their marital residence in Beverly Hills, the estate is still on the market, but that hasn’t stopped Affleck from purchasing a pad in Pacific Palisades.
Lopez, for her part, is currently house hunting around Los Angeles.
The A-listers, who called off their engagement in 2004 before reconciling in 2021, tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022.
“They got caught up in the moment. Jennifer had wanted this wedding — the gowns, the friends, all the trappings and trimmings — for decades,” an insider told Page Six last week.
“They’ve turned the page on all the unfinished business of 20-plus years ago. They’ve seen things through to the end — and they know for sure now that they are not built for the long haul.”
The source added that the pair have “no further unanswered questions” because “they’ve seen all they need to see.”
“It’s over,” the insider insisted. “In the end, it’s gonna be the most elaborate and expensive exercise in closure ever.”
Meanwhile, we’re told Lopez is “furious” and “humiliated” since Affleck “was the one who initiated getting back together.”
In fact, we’re told he’s holding off on filing for divorce to spare her more embarrassment.
A source previously shared with us that the Oscar winner would “divorce on grounds of temporary insanity” if he could.
“He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream,” the insider said, “and he’s come to his senses now.”
