Jeanette C. Mula, 95, of Silver Creek, NY passed away peacefully onSaturday morning August 31, 2024 at the Chautauqua Nursing andRehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, NY.

She was born in Angola, NY on June 6, 1929, the daughter of the late Pauland Carmella (nee Palamuso) LoPresto. Jeanette married the love of her lifeJoseph Mula on October 21, 1950 at Precious Blood RC Church in Angola,NY. He preceded her death on June 17, 1987 after 37 years of marriage.

She attended Angola High School. After she was married, Joe and Jeanette moved to Silver Creek, NY where they raised their family and resided for 66years. In her younger days she worked for Westinghouse in Buffalo and then at Silver Creek Central School as a cafeteria worker for 29 years.

Her family and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church were the biggest parts of her life. She wasa bingo worker, belonged to the Mother’s Club, Altar Rosary Society and the Social Club where she was a former chaplain and secretary. Jeanette loved to crochet afghan blankets and take days trips with her friends. She supplied many beautiful afghan blankets to her children, grandchildrenand great-grandchildren. She also shared her wonderful meals and cakes withfriends and neighbors. She was a good friend to all. Jeanette was always with her family on holidays. These were the most joyous occasions for her. Shenever missed any big event in her children’s or grandchildren’s lives. This included many graduations from high school, college and marriages.

In the final years of her life, she resided at the Chautauqua Nursing andRehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, NY where she participated in most of theactivities there. She was well liked by all the nurses and doctors that cameinto contact with her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Jeanette had two children. The late Janice (Joseph) Spayer of Cassadaga,NY who passed on July 8, 2019 and Joseph (Margaret) Mula of Louisville, Kentucky. She is also survived by six cherished grandchildren, Jill (GregDrab) Spayer and Joe Spayer both of Cassadaga, Angela (Kristie) Mula ofWilliamstown, WV, Emily (Byrd) Saylor, Bill (Melody) Mula and Jessica (Tim)Owens all of Louisville, KY; 15 great-grandchildren; a dear sister, Virginia(Peter) Ark ; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by five sisters, Connie Leone, Mildred Cottone, Josephine Elwell, Lorraine Paradiso and Marie Elliot and two brothers,Norman and Paul LoPresto.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. SilverCreek, NY on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 165 Central Ave. Silver Creek at 1 PM. Pleaseassemble at the church.
