Jane D. Gonzalez

She was born on Jan. 11, 1946 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Dominic and Angeline (Gizzi ) Bova. On Oct 5, 1964 she married the love of her life William H. Gonzalez in Westfield, NY.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband William Gonzalez; four devoted and loving children, Angela (Kevin) Johnston, Judy (Darrin Wilson) Gonzalez, Mary (Jim) Woodworth and William “Bill” (Jani) Gonzalez; ten cherished grandchildren, Joseph Gonzalez, Eric Sanders, Jacob and Taylor Woodworth, Meagan Fachetti, Isabella and Nina Wilson, Trent and Scott Johnston and Devon McMaster; also survived by many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Angelo “Sonny” Bova and a sister Carrie Tracy. Jane worked at Welches Grapes for 15 years as a forklift operator. She later spent 9 years at Westfield Academy School as a cafeteria monitor, where her friendly demeanor touched many lives.

Jane enjoyed music, roller skating, and dancing. In her younger years, she played softball and was always present at her kids’ sporting events or any activities they were involved in. Above all, Jane loved spending time with her family, especially during Sunday meals, playing cards, or watching Sunday football. She was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan.

Relatives and friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 26, 2024 at St. Dominic RC Church, 15 Union St. Westfield, NY at 11 AM.
