James Edward Philbrook, 83, of Milford, NH, passed away on July 4, 2024. He was born in Nashua, NH, to parents Charles and Kate (Fowler) Philbrook on October 12, 1940. He graduated from Nashua High School in 1958 followed by 4 years in the US Army. He was employed at Hampshire Chemical and Gas Service in Nashua where he retired from in 1995.

Jim was an avid fly fisherman and began a small antique fishing and sporting collectibles business. He became one of the most knowledgeable collectors in the area.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Doris (Arel) Philbrook of Milford, NH, daughter Paula Philbrook of Brookline, NH, sons Timothy and Bryan Philbrook both of Nashua, NH. Stepchildren Jody Jeglinski of Hartsdale, NY and Amy Osborne of Somerville, MA, and 6 grandchildren.

He also leaves behind sisters Nancy (and husband Roger) Lacroix of Nashua, NH, Betty (and husband Dennis) Lemay of Nashua, NH, and Judy Lemire of Walpole, MA. His sister Laura DeWar predeceased him.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 3 pm to 6 pm. An informal hour dedicated to sharing stories and memories will begin at 6 pm after Military Honors. Friends and family are invited to attend.
