Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed the officials to set up advanced technology centres (ATCs) in the headquarters of each of the 119 assembly constituencies or the nearest point to the core urban area in each segment.
At a review meeting with officials of the labour department, the CM inquired about the progress of upgrading the ITIs into ATCs in the state. All the existing ITIs will be upgraded to ATCs, and new ATCs will be established in non-ITI centres, he said.
The officials briefed the CM about the requirement of staff in ATCs and the development of infrastructure facilities. Following this, Revanth made several suggestions on staff recruitment and stated that the govt is ready to provide necessary funds for the establishment of ATCs immediately.
The CM instructed the officials to conduct a detailed study on the proposed Gig and Platform Workers Act.
