NEGUANEE, Mich. (WLUC) – A Marquette County clinic held a shopping spree Friday to benefit local families.

The Ishpeming Care Clinic hosted a shopping day at the SuperOne in Negaunee. The items purchased will go into its family resource closet.

A recent grant from the West End Health Foundation allowed an expansion of the closet. It helps the clinic provide food items, clothing, and household products to families.

Ishpeming Care Clinic’s psych coordinator Carrie Hutchinson said they want to help families every step of the way.

“We just walk alongside them to give them a family they can depend on. They can come to group in-person classes, we provide cooking classes and gardening classes,” Hutchinson said. “We just try to take care of them completely instead of just one thing.”

The clinic also provides mental and spiritual support, pregnancy care, and assistance to any person in need of support.
