The International Golf Federation (IGF) has announced a five-year strategic collaboration with auditing and tax services firm Deloitte to enhance the organisation’s financial governance, aligning with the IGF’s long-term strategic priorities.
The collaboration marks a pivotal moment in the IGF’s efforts to increase transparency, improve financial efficiency, and support its mission to grow golf worldwide.
Deloitte will provide the IGF with tailored expertise to modernise financial systems and implement best practices that support sustainable growth, integrity, and governance.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Deloitte as we embark on this transformative phase,” said IGF Executive Director Antony Scanlon. “This collaboration will not only help better streamline our financial processes, but also position the IGF to achieve its ambitious goals, including the expansion of golf through inclusivity and sustainability.”
John Tweardy, Deloitte Sports and Major Events Leader, added: “We are excited to welcome the IGF to the growing number of International Federations that we support in their financial and back-office transformations. By leveraging our expertise in digital finance and operational strategy, we aim to help the IGF build a forward-thinking financial framework that prioritises transparency, efficiency, and resilience. This collaboration will enable us to contribute to the IGF’s broader vision of expanding golf globally while maintaining a strong commitment to governance excellence.”
This five-year collaboration directly supports the IGF’s 2021-2028 Strategic Plan, which emphasises governance, sustainability, and the global growth of golf. It will lay the foundation to streamline operations and help the IGF navigate the complex challenges facing international sports federations today. This is crucial in ensuring the long-term success of the IGF’s efforts to bring golf to new audiences worldwide.
