How To Sync Google Chrome Across All Your Devices – SlashGear

To turn on sync on your Mac or PC, follow the steps mentioned below.

  1. Launch Google Chrome.

  2. Click the profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen.

  3. Now, click the “Turn on sync” button.

  4. You may be asked to enter your credentials if you aren’t signed into your Google Account. Simply enter your email or phone number and password.

  5. You may be asked to verify your identity. To do so, simply follow the on-screen instructions.

  6. Hit Continue.

  7. You should see a dialogue box labeled “Turn on sync.” Simply tap the “Yes, I’m in” button at the bottom. 

Now, to manage what you sync, click the profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen once again. This time, click the “Sync is on” button. Now, click Manage what you sync under the Sync section. You’ll now see two toggles –- Sync everything and Customize sync. 

While the former is good enough if you’d like to sync each and everything you do on your browser, you can choose the latter if you’d like to prevent stuff like your open tabs, history, extensions, and more from syncing across all your devices.
