HOT SPRINGS (KATV) — The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is dominated by a mad shopping dash as people race out to buy the perfect toys and trinkets for their loved ones.
Even the Hot Springs Police Department got involved in the seasonal shopping spree, hosting their 6th Annual “Shop with a Hot Springs Cop” earlier this week.
On Tuesday, the Police Department posted a series of photos commemorating the event, which took place at the Walmart on Albert Pike, to their Facebook page.
Police say that they were able to shop with 80 children who were selected by regional school counselors and that they even surprised some adults by registering to pay for part or all of their expenses.
