Harvesting the Moon
From some vantage points, the lunar eclipse of the full moon in Pisces will give the illusion of a white berry plucked at peak of ripeness only to pop back to the vine, renewed, its sweetness teasing. This omen of having your berry and eating it too begs the question of what other yumminess we might be able to hang onto and savor into the next season.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Like the other social animals, humans exist in a social order that is often established through body language signaling. The task at hand goes better when you’re respected as a power player. Make yourself bigger. Command the space.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Life offers many shoes to try on. Each pair represents a different path, from the sturdy boots of responsibility to the dancing slippers of joy. Stay flexible! Change shoes when the terrain demands it — your safety and comfort depend on it.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). There’s competition for a leadership position. You’ll take a step back and consider that the head honcho is not always the most powerful position to take. Major controllers are often in seemingly inconspicuous roles.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Is your attraction to someone purely circumstantial? A change of circumstances brings the answer. When the situation shifts, your feelings will either deepen or fade, revealing the true nature of your connection.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Share a laugh over the absurdity of work life. Today, it will speak to your feline nature as you’ll be herding cats, which is no easier for a cat than it is for anyone else, but at least you can relate to the ones you’re trying to manage.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Where you are is a lucky place — there is no destination that’s luckier. This is the only one you can affect, inhabit and fully experience. Your best move is to accept this as a prime place for you right now and go all in.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The last thing you think will happen is the first thing that does, which refreshes your sense of wonder and gets your creativity flowing. Tonight brings a natural end to old business and a bright new opportunity.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The day will refresh your sense of wonder. This is just what you need to get your creative juices flowing again. Tonight, stick with what works. Concern yourself with effectiveness, not perfection.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Achievement will correlate with the success of three missions. First, a quest for understanding. Second, the pursuit of greater understanding. Third is a drive toward deeper and wider understanding.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Even when you’re stressed, you still try to act like you know what you’re doing, and it’s so easy for you, too. Today, that will pay off. You’ll perfect the art of breeziness and attract followers.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You’ll take a step back from conflict, choosing instead to explore your inner landscape. Withdrawal can be a way to connect with deeper truths within yourself but is also an escape. What would it take to engage instead?
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Many activities that may have been considered self-indulgent in other times are now accepted social norms, and yet they do not feel completely comfortable to you. Do you. Your most attractive state is aligned with your own values.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Sept. 17). The simplest choices lead to the most fortunate outcomes this year. Responsibilities drop, you’ll dance with new freedoms, and you’ll finally get the chance to dive into a subject you’ve been drawn to for years, and its mysteries will be revealed to you. More highlights: participating in a global game, a new and diverse set of friends and a material acquisition that lives up to its symbolism. Scorpio and Sagittarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 1, 18, 30 and 13.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: In the “Bootique” of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, one can purchase stickers, T-shirts and mugs encouraging voters to cast one for her presidency. As the creator of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, Cassandra Peterson continues to steer her iconic character into the heart of Halloween camp.
